Socially Responsible Investment (ISR)

When investing its capital on the international financial markets, FAPBM commits to Socially Responsible Investment (ISR). In terms of ISR and in line with its purpose, the Foundation has two objectives:

To ensure that its investments are compatible
with its values and mission;

Strengthen its social and environmental impact.

FAPBM ISR ambition is as follows:

100% of the portfolio

are subject to ISR sector screening, as far as direct investments in shares and corporate bonds are concerned.

At least 50% of the portfolio

is subject to ISR sector screening, all investment vehicles combined.

At least 20% of the portfolio

is subject for a specific environmental or social impact (Impact Investing), following responsible strategies.

Investment decision subject to special attention in the following industries:

Nuclear energy production

Extraction of mineral resources

Extraction of renewable resources

Agriculture, mainly industrial agriculture

Alcohol production and packaging

Industries using wood and paper

Power generation

Chemical industry

Civil engeneering and construction

Water catchment

Garbage dump

Tourist complex developement

Prohibited investments in the following industries:

Tobacco manufacturing and packaging

Manufacturing of weapons and military equipement

Gambling

Pornography

Impact Investing

Impact investing consists of investing in projects with a positive social and environmental impact, such as investments in renewable energy, social housing, education, health, sanitation, etc. It is a means of providing financing for activities with social or environmental dimensions while ensuring the profitability of the activities funded.20% of FAPBM's investment portfolio is made up of impact investments.
