Feature : The roof of Madagascar, Maromokotra peaking at 2 876 m, is located on a volcanic massif.
As pressures, only a small section of the northern part of the Natural Reserve is subject to the cultivation of cannabis causing clearing.
In addition, Tsaratanana is not immune to fire, usually caused by lightning, a phenomenon hardly predictable and controllable.
Culture undergrowth, cutting and human occupation are other threats to this site. In addition to the human occupation and hunting, the park is also threatened by logging and precious hardwoods such as palm Dypsis ampasindavae (Kindro), ebony and rosewood commonly used in construction.
