What we do
Support for the identification of alternative activities to promote the conservation and rational management of natural resources was one of the key measures for the financing of this website. Dies of beekeeping and fish farming have been identified as carriers for the neighboring population.
Support from the Foundation has enabled the implementation of the sustainable development strategy of the protected area including: training of beneficiaries for conducting development of pilot activities; identifying and starting four promising sectors (rice industry, salt industry, sector and goat sector vondro); training beneficiaries for conducting development of pilot activities. It also contributes to the implementation of the management of Lake Ihotry
(periodic monitoring of fish recruitment screeners, restructuring and revitalization of local associations); strengthening capacity; and community involvement in the management of Mangoky-Ihotry.
